Thomas Corey Vinson, 49, died Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital North MS.
Corey was born on June 14, 1975, in Jackson, MS to the late Thomas Lynn Vinson and Donna Harrington Vinson. He attended Ole Miss where he received his degree in English before his deep love of reading and literature led him to seek his Masters in Library Science from the University of Southern Mississippi. Corey only recently retired from the Lafayette County and Oxford Public Library where he worked as a reference librarian for almost 20 years. His love for the Beatles was only rivaled by his admiration for the art of comics and he took great pride and care in his extensive collection of comic books. While he often visited new places through the landscapes of literature, he fell in love with London and hoped to get back to the UK as often as he could.
Corey is survived by his sister, Whitney Vinson and his niece, Hardy Vinson Allen both of Oxford.
