Larry Ray Rone
Booneville- Larry Ray Rone 76, born October 02, 1948, passed from this life at the Landmark Nursing Home in Booneville, MS on Saturday, February 15, 2025. He was a lifelong resident of Booneville and a graduate Booneville High School Class of 1966. He was a longtime OTR driver for AC Wright Trucking before health issues forced him into retirement.
Visitation will be at Waters Funeral Home on Monday, February 17, 2025 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. There will not be a public service and burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
He is survived by three children, Dionne (Terry) Lambert, Michael (Tammy) Rone and Christy (Orville) Hicks; grandchildren, Kelly (Courtney) Prather, Kelsey (Kyler) Smith, Chance (Megan) Hicks, Lucas (Haley) Lambert, Chyna Hicks, Collin (Andrya) Rone and Keagan Hicks; seven great-grandchildren, Elliott, Pacen andHeidi Prather, Kayden and Lainey Lambert, Paxton Hicks and Peyton Downs; his sister, Brenda McGaughy and her children, Chris McGaughy and Tammy Bowen. Many friends and relatives, especially his Miller Circle friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, RJ and Mauveline Padgett Rone; his maternal grandparents, Grover and Irene Gullet Padgett; paternal grandparents, Baxter and Etta Green Rone.
