Ernest “Ernie” Crawford
Baldwyn- Ernest “Ernie” Crawford 81, passed away on May 08, 2025 at the NMMC. He was a landscaper and enjoyed sharing his knowledge of trees, gardening and plants with others. He taught a class at ICC to help the younger generation learn to beautify the land. He actually helped plant a garden three days prior to his death. The joy of his life was his grandchildren
and he loved them dearly. He was a member of Pathway Church and a United States Army Veteran and had served in the Vietnam War.
Private family services were held at Waters Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Petermann officiating. Burial was in Asbury Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Henry Crawford of Baldwyn; daughter, Emily Gholson (Tim) of Baldwyn; son, Nathan Crawford of Vicksburg; sisters, Joyce Meisenheimer (Ted) of Henley, MO, June Baker (Chris) of Jefferson, City, MO and Martie Robinson (David) of Seattle, WA; grandchildren, Aaron Rebecca Gholson, Reagan Lee Gholson, Gabriel Crawford and Michael Crawford; brother-in-law, Paul Henry of New Albany; nephew, Eric Henry (Whitney) of New Albany; niece, Jamie Henry of Dallas, TX; Bobby Crump and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Edward and Viola Boots Crawford; one sister and one brother.
