Frances Whitaker, 87, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026 at the Baldwyn Nursing Facility. She enjoyed drinking coca cola and eating Reese’s peanut butter cups. She loved spending time with her family and she was a member of the Palestine Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be Thursday, February 05, 2026 at 1:00 p. m. at Waters Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Jones officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter, Melba Mayhew (Mike); son, Doug Whitaker (Maycee); sister, Nell Hauser and Deb O’Higgins; brothers, Ed Whitehead (Annie), Cameron Whitehead and Murry Whitehead (Gail); grandchildren, Keenon Michael (Heather), Abby Pollard (Waylon), Deklan Whitaker, Jesse Harris, Eddie Harris, Miley Pollard, Abel Pollard, Riley (Tyler) Finley, Bode Mayhew, Kaylee (Ashten) Stanford.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Pauline Wynne Whitehead; her husband, Jimmy Lee Whitaker.
Pallbearers will be Dylan Hembree, Paul Berman, Donald Moore, John Thompson, Mike Wages and Waylon Pollard.
Visitation will be at Waters Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
