Charles Bishop
Jericho – Charles Bishop, 90 went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, May 6th at his home. He was a faithful member of Jericho Baptist Church for many years where he attended Sunday School with his wife Carolyn. He was currently a member of Keownville Baptist Church where he attended regularly and enjoyed fellowship with his many friends and family. He was born during the great depression and learned hard work as a young boy helping support his family. He was the first in his family to attend School and was the first to Graduate High School at Jericho, with a graduating class of 7. He was the first in his family to start a used car and salvage yard business with his Uncle Cliff Bishop. Later on he was the Owner and Operator of C&M Motors in Jericho. He still enjoyed talking about the car business and spent many days stopping by and spending time at his nephew’s shop. He enjoyed fishing and one of his greatest joys was fishing with his son. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed gardening and he was a great story teller. He loved the Lord and he loved his family and friends, and gave unselfishly until the end of his life to make sure they were taken care of.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p. m. On Saturday, May 9th at Jericho Baptist Church with Bro. Andy Russell and Bro Johnathan Garrison officiating. Visitation will be at Waters Funeral Home, Friday, May 8th from 5-8 p.m. and at 1 p.m. on Saturday up until time of Service.
He is Survived by his Son, Jerry Bishop and Daughter-in-law, Mary Ann; his Daughter, Debora Goddard,
Daughter, Tonya White; Grandchildren: Candi Anthony (Richard), Kriste Conwill (Johnathan) Ashley Trolinger (Sterling) Jessica Alexander (Nathan) Chad Bishop (Melissa) Kaeleigh Pannell, Lacy Pannell; Great-Grandchildren: Casey Renner, Karley Conwill, Kenley Conwill, Trevor Jolly, Chesley Brown, Eleanor Alexander, Connor Bishop, Caleb Bishop, Bryson Bishop, Trent Bishop; Great-Great-Grandchildren: Alaia Bishop and Winona Marie Bishop; His nephews: John Paul Bishop, Josh Bishop, Justin Bishop, Cole Bishop; An Uncle, a host of cousins and special friends and caregivers.
He was preceded in Death by his wife of 58 years, Carolyn Bishop. One son, Tony Charles Bishop, his parents, Cleve and Ruth Bishop, his brothers, Carl Bishop, Paul Bishop, and Danny Bishop. One Grandson, Brandon Bishop and son-in-law, Karl Goddard and infant Granddaughter Emilee Goddard.
