Booneville, Lois Ann Clayton, 81, passed away on May 18, 2026 at the Longwood Manor Nursing Facility in Booneville. She was a seamstress at Prentiss Mfg. She enjoyed spoiling her grandkids and keeping them full of sugar, sitting on her front porch swing looking at her flowers, spending time with family and taking care of her family and friends. She loved her dog “Bay Max” dearly. She was of the Baptist faith.
Funeral services will be Thursday May 21, 2026 at the Mt. Pisgah Free Will Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Justin Pettigo, Bro. Danny Short and Bro John Faulkner officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Waters Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by 2 daughters Betty McDonald (William) and Lisa Spencer of Booneville, 2 sons James Strange and David Strange of Booneville, 3 sisters Reba McKinney of Booneville, Melinda Taylor of Booneville and Dorothy Hutcheson of Florida, 3 brothers Melvin Roy Smith of Florida, Jackie Smith of Booneville, Paul Wayne Smith of Booneville a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Parents Herbert and Jessie Neeley Smith, her first husband Junior Strange, second husband Ernie Clayton, sons Terry Lynn and Douglas Wayne Strange, Daughter-in-Law Linda Gail Strange and Sister-in-Law Carolyn Smith.
Visitation will be Wednesday night at Waters Funeral Home from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. and Thursday at the Mt. Pisgah Free Will Baptist Church from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m.
