Mr. Claude Leroy Barlow “Shorty”, 93, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at the Veteran’s Home in Oxford, MS. He was born on September 5, 1933, in Earth, TX, to the late Jessy Marion Barlow and Lillie Pearl Mitchel Barlow. Waller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A proud veteran, Claude served his country as a Private First Class in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Following his military service, he dedicated thirty-two years to the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier in Dimmitt, TX, before his retirement.
Claude shared seventy years of marriage with the love of his life, Pattsy Lua Braudaway Barlow. Together, they were faithful members of First Baptist Church in Earth, TX. He was a proud Mason and Shriner, a devoted supporter of Springlake-Earth athletics and a loyal fan of Texas Tech.
Claude is survived by his wife, Pattsy Braudaway Barlow of Olive Branch, MS; his son, Claude Barlow (Linda) of Olive Branch, MS; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
Burial will take place at a later date in Earth, TX.
