Lula Mae Devould Hill was born April 7, 1937, to the late John Calvin and Maudine McShunn Devould in Monroe County, MS. She was joined in holy matrimony to A.R. Micker who precedes her in death. She accepted Christ at an early age joining Darden Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where she was a faithful member. She graduated from Fannie Carter High School and attended Okolona College.

She loved to cook and talk on the telephone. One of her favorite sayings was “I tell you the truth…,” and catfish was one of her favorite foods to eat.

She leaves to cherish her memories: 3 daughters – Cathy (David) Reese, Linda Hill, and Brenda (Keith) Evans; 1 son – Shonski Hill, all of Okolona. 1 stepdaughter – Willemiena (Russell) Blanchard of Okolona. 3 granddaughters – Khristen (Roderick) Thompson, Lancaster, Texas, Brittany (Eric) Thornton, Colorado Springs, Colorado and Adrianna Hill, Tupelo, MS. 3 grandsons – Marquon Evans, Keon Hill, and Brian Evans, all of Okolona, MS. 3 great-grandsons – Jamarcus Walker, Marquis Evans, and Cobi J. Hill; 3 sisters – Lois Ann Devould, Henrietta (Oscar) Cotton of Kalamazoo, Michigan, and Stella Ware of Shannon, MS; and 1 brother – Nelson Devould, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, 1 aunt – Adaliate Hodges, of Okolona, MS; 2 sisters-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, John Calvin, Jr. and Mos Devould; 3 sisters – Ruthie Mae Devould, Bertha Shack and Nellie Moore and 1 granddaughter.
