Obit for
Karen Ward
Karen Lee Ward passed away Sunday March 8, 2020 at NMMC-West Point at the age of 66. She was born July 13, 1953 to the late Kenneth and Jackie Hunt Threadgill. She worked as a social worker as an adoption specialist before retirement. She was a member of The Episcopal Church of the Incarnation in West Point.
Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday March 10, 2020 at The Episcopal Church of the Incarnation with Rev. Randy Sellers and The Revs Sandra Depriest officiating. Visitation will be 1-2 PM on Tuesday at the church. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery in Columbus. Serving as pallbearers will be Will Hardy, Tom Bowens, Danny Rainey, Bruce Bennett, Joe Boggess, John Stallworth, Camron Magee, Jim Chandler.
She is survived by her husband, Rufus A. Ward of West Point; son, Thomas Bailey Ward of Gulfport; Sarah Hunt Hoffman (Aaron) of Alexandria, VA; 2 grandchildren, Harper Lenore Hoffman and Sykes Lee Hoffman.
