Celebration of Life Service for Joseph Michael “Mike” Dixon, 58, are set for 3:00 Sunday at Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Waring Porter officiating. Burial will follow in the Henry Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 to 8:00 and Sunday from 2:00 until service time at the funeral home.

Mike died March 11, 2020 at University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. He was born September 10, 1961 in Corinth, MS to Joe and Vera Nelms Dixon. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a 1979 graduate of Corinth High School. He was a retired lieutenant from the Corinth Fire Dept. after 25 years of service. He later went on to work as an adjuster for Crawford and Co. Insurance Adjusters. He enjoyed boating, watching his son play baseball and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Tyson Dixon; a son, Reid Dixon; a step-daughter, Morgan Crum (Jacob); parents, Joe and Vera Dixon; a brother, Tim Dixon; a sister, Diane Kimmons (Mike); a niece, Madison Welzbacher; and a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers; Tod Emmons, Ricky Maness, Dusty Allen, Mac Mitchell, Johnny Butler, Bill Glenn, Greg Mills, and Todd Welch.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Corinth Fire Dept.

Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
