Joyce K. Bostick, 60, died Wednesday, May 13, 2020 in her home at 503 Sykes Rd., Starkville, MS.
She leaves behind two sons, Damon Bostick and Brandon Potts; three siblings, Teresa Owens, Sharon Bostick, and Dewey Bostick; three grandchildren, Jade Justice, Nathan Bostick, and Elijah Potts; and many cousins and friends.
Born and raised in Starkville, Mississippi, Joyce was the eldest daughter to Dewey Lamar Bostick and Helen Louise Burleson. In her early years, she worked hard as a single parent to provide. She held many jobs, like her own upholstery business. She loved little dogs and even raised Chihuahuas and at the time of her death she had a Feist named Lilly that she loved very much. Miss Bostick loved plants and had an exceptional green thumb, especially cactus. In her later years, she liked water sports, cooking, painting and drawing, and many other arts and crafts. She was a Baptist and God fearing woman.
Due to the circumstances with the current pandemic, a memorial service will be held at a later date, as well as a burial service at Owens Cemetery in Hamilton, MS.
