Mrs. Doris Claiborne, 62, transitioned on Saturday, June 14, 2020 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Doris Ann Claiborne was born January 14, 1958 to the late Henry Ruff and Willie B Ruff. Doris graduated from Itawamba Agricultural High School and later earned an associate degree from Itawamba Community College.

She was a former member at Shiloh CME and Temple of Compassionate and Deliverance and later moved her membership to Spirit Filled Worship Center in Huntsville, Al where she remained until her death.

The joy of her life consisted of fishing with her husband, going to yard sales with her mother, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her mother, Willie B Ruff of Fulton, Ms; husband, Rolan Claiborne of Huntsville, Al; two children, Christopher Walker and Angel Walker of Fulton, Ms; one sister Felicia Ruff of Tupelo, Ms; two brothers, Howard Ruff and Tony Ruff of Fulton, Ms; special nephew Zachari Ruff of Meridian, Ms; 5 grandchildren and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Ruff; a brother, Robert Henry Ruff; grandparents, Robert and Hatie Ruff and Clinton and Vedie Clifton.

Service will be Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Words of Faith in Tupelo, Ms. The public viewing is from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and the service will follow. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.

The scripture is found at Acts 24:15 where the Bible tells of a promise God, whose name is Jehovah, has made to mankind. He has promised that there will be a resurrection of the “righteous and the unrighteous.” Many people find comfort in knowing that they will be able to see their loved ones again. I hope you find comfort in this message during this difficult time.
