Mrs. Janice Allred Shuffield, 73, entered the gates of Heaven Tuesday, June 16, 2020, peacefully in her sleep at home, cuddled in the arms of her husband of 58 years.  The funeral service will be Friday, June 19, 2020, at 2:00 P.M. at North Main Methodist Church in Water Valley, MS with Bro. Doug Pepper, Bo Chinault and Binnie Turnage officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 10:30. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Born in Calhoun County, MS to the late Mary Evelyn Peeples and Clyde Avery “Pat” Allred, Mrs. Shuffield was the owner and was a retired beautician at House of Beauty. She was a member of North Main Methodist Church and a member of Rebekah Lodge #38. She held immense pride and love for her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as, cooking for her family. No one ever left her presence hungry. She enjoyed gardening and adored flowers.

Mrs. Shuffield is survived by her husband, Odie Shuffield of Water Valley, MS; a son, Steve Shuffield and his wife, Teresa of Water Valley, MS; a daughter, Sherry Shuffield Fischer and her husband, Paul of Water Valley, MS; a brother, Bob Allred and his wife, Pinky of Heber Springs, AR; six grandchildren, Chad Fischer, Codie Shuffield, Suzanne Fischer Brooks, Tanner Shuffield, Shay Shuffield, and Preslee Fischer; and two great-grandchildren, Andy Brooks and Bailey Brooks. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary McCain and Dorothy Peacock; and four brothers, Sam Allred, Tommy Allred, Billy Allred, and Tony Allred.
