PONTOTOC – Gerald "Pop" Chunn, 78, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS. He worked 32 years at Super Sagless until his retirement in 1995. After retirement, he worked together with his son at Chunn's Pawn Shop, Inc until his health diminished. Pop loved his family more than anything, especially being papaw to Avery.
Pop is survived by his sons, Randy Chunn and Ronnie Chunn; his grandchildren, Brandon Chunn, Corey Chunn, Christina Chunn, and Nastasha Smith; his great-granddaughters, Avery Chunn and Bella Chunn; the mother of his children, Sylvia Chunn; and his sisters, Hazel Keith, Janie Reynolds, and Ruth Redden.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Newton and Mary Della Chunn; and his siblings, Melba, Edna, Bill, and Jessie.
Visitation will be 10AM – 12PM, Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc. After visitation we will move in procession to Ingomar Cemetery.
