Johnathan "Scuba" was born on September 1, 1971 to Mr.
Johnny Earl Bell and the late Antonella Bell.
He accepted Christ at an early age and joined
Mount Zion Community Church where he
remained until death. Johnathan graduated
from Baldwyn High School in 1989. While at
Baldwyn High School, he was a member of
the “Bearcat Band,” and he possessed an
astounding passion for playing the drums.
He was employed with the Baldwyn School
District as dedicated and respected bus
driver. His passengers loved him. He was also
a member of the Masonic Lodge #210.
On August 31, 2020, Johnathan “Scuba” Bell,
our beloved husband, father, son,
grandfather, brother, uncle, grandson,
nephew, cousin, and friend departed this
earthly life at North Mississippi Medical
Center and ascended into Heaven. As we
celebrate his homegoing, we reflect on and
cherish many memories, and we are grateful
for the time God allowed us to spend with
him. Although he a had a soft, humble spirit,
his heart spoke volumes to everyone he
encountered on a daily basis. He always
displayed compassion and unconditional love
for his family and friends. Even in the mist of
his illness, his selflessness nature never
wavered. In his spare time, he loved all
aspects of music, cooking for family, mowing
yards, and playing the drums.
Johnathan “Scuba” Bell was united in holy
matrimony to Tamekia (McGaha) Bell, a
