Amory – Sarah Shelly, 74, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2020, at North Mississippi Medical Center – Gilmore, Amory, MS.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm at Masonic Cemetery, Amory, MS.
There will be a private family visitation.

Sarah, as you know, was such a lovely and beloved lady. It was a privilege to know both Sarah and Guss, and they hold a special place in my heart. So sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Guss made many visits to the hospital and nursing home to see my mother, and he officiated at her funeral at the Biloxi National Cemetery. They both went through so much during Hurricane Katrina, but they were there with help, support, and love for all in the community.
Deepest condolences to the family. I feel honored to have known both Guss and Sarah, while Guss ministered at our church in Gulfport, bringing us through the aftermath of Katrina. Guss is the reason we joined the church. Both will be missed, but are reunited again. Sarah was always a kind, caring person. I know she will be missed.
Sarah, was a good leader and organizer. It was a pleasure working with her in the children’s Sunday School Dept. She insured there was a good curriculum and that the children got lots of opportunity to participate. She had a warm smile and a winning way about her to get people involved.
She is fondly remembered.
