Claudine Ashmore Upchurch, age 92, of Water Valley, MS died unexpectedly Tuesday, October 6, 2020, at her home. She was born September 5, 1928, in Water Valley to the late Edger and Annie (Sullivan) Ashmore. Claudine served, and took great pride in, her family by being a housewife. Her joys were that of a person that enjoyed the simple things in life. She could often be found reading books, working crossword puzzles and doing the word search puzzles as well. She was a dedicated member of Jumpers Chapel church, until her health precluded her from attending.
The family has chosen to have a private graveside service, and asks for continued prayers for their family.
Claudine is survived by Carla Joseph of Water Valley; two grandchildren, Michael Amburn, Holly Beasley; and three great-grandchildren, Erica Harmon, Gage and Christa Beasley; and three great-great-grandchildren, Raylon Vanwinkle, Lane and Lakeleigh Harmon.
As well as her parents, Claudine was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, John Upchurch; and one son, Carles Upchurch.
