Joseph Lloyd Schwinn, age 74, of Horn Lake, MS died Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at Methodist Hospital in Olive Branch. He was born March 24, 1946, in Burlington, NJ to the late Amos and Mary (Taylor) Schwinn. After finishing school, Joseph joined the Marine Corps and served our country with distinction. He was a member Berea Baptist Church in Horn Lake MS.

Visitation is planned for Monday, October 12, 2020, in the Gardiner Room at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Services will follow at 2:00 PM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Jerry King officiating. Burial will be in Driver’s Flat Cemetery.

Joseph is survived by three sons, Joseph Schwinn Jr, of Horn Lake, MS, Tony and Bill Jenkins, MS; three brothers, Eddie Schwinn (Rebecca) of Courtland, MS, Chuck Schwinn (Dorothy) of Water Valley, MS, Grady Pearson (Angie) of Mt. Sterling, KY; two sisters, Shirley Sanders of Pontotoc, MS, Casey Thornton (Gerald) of Bartlett, TN; five Grandchildren BJ McElroy, Jamie Smith, Justin Hammons, Joshua Hammons, JoAnn Schwinn; and four great grandchildren.

As well as his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by one daughter, Rhonda Hammons; as well as two sisters, Carol Baldwin, and Bonnie Schwinn.
