Celebration of Life services for Opal Alyene Settlemires, 94, will be held Monday at 3:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tim Hall and Bro. Trent Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday 1:00 pm to service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Settlemires died Friday, October 30, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. She was a Godly woman that lived her life for the Lord. Mrs. Settlemires was a member of Emmanuel Holiness Church and loved her church family and friends. The love for her husband and large Settlemires family was the core of who she was. She valued being a wife, mother and grandmother. Although it has been 8 years since her husband passed, he was the love of her life and they shared a home of happiness. Mrs. Alyene enjoyed her life on the farm and has left a legacy of hard work and family values.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, L.W. Settlemires, parents; Mallie and Esber Jeanes, sons; Elbert Lee Settlemires, Thomas Ray Settlemires, brothers; William (Billy) Jeanes, Gaston Jeanes, and nephew; Johnny Jeanes.

She is survived by her sons; Bobby (Linda) Settlemires, Phillip (Wanda) Settlemires, Keith (Shelia) Settlemires, Steve (Cynthia) Settlemires all of Corinth, daughter; Deborah (Tim) Coombs of New Albany; sister: Pauline (Bobby) James of Ripley, daughter-in-law; Karen Settlemires of Corinth, sisters-in-law; Freida Imogene (JR) Davis of Corinth; Louise Jeanes of Ripley; seventeen grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
