Mr. Danny Quay Harwell, 75, died Friday, October 30, 2020, surrounded by his family at his home in Paris, MS. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at 2:00 P.M. in Webb Cemetery.  Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. in West Hall at Waller Funeral Home.

Mr. Harwell grew up in Lafayette County and was a graduate of Tocopola High School. His faith in the Lord was shown through the life he lived and he found comfort worshipping with his church family at New El Bethel Baptist Church. Mr. Harwell worked for Rebel Chevrolet (1965-1982) before opening Southland Body Shop which he grew through hard work, ethical business and honesty. His friends, family and customers trusted him without question and knew that his word was true. With a servant’s heart, Mr. Harwell quietly maintained Old Dallas Cemetery making sure the grass stayed cut and the grounds stayed well kept.  Above all, his family was the source of his joy and the most important part of his life.  They find comfort knowing he is reunited with his wife, Mrs. Ouida “Jeanie” Harwell.

Survivors include two daughters, Julie King and her husband, James of Oxford, MS and April Rogge and her husband, Josh of Paris, MS; two sons, Ronnie Harwell and his wife, Traci of Oxford, MS, and Jeff Harwell and his wife, Mindy of Paris, MS; a sister, Bylinda Pugh of Oxford, MS; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and numerous, loving nieces and nephews.
