DON BOWEN MOORE
Amory – Don Bowen Moore, 46, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at his residence in Amory, MS. Born on September 21, 1974, in Bartlett, TN to the late Norman Walls and Peggy Joyce Bowen Moore.
Don grew up in Bartlett, Tennessee and attended Bartlett schools. When he was little, he was badly burned and for two and half years he was nursed back to health by St. Jude in Memphis. As a teenager, he went to work in the furniture manufacturing business. Don was a hard working dependable person. After becoming disabled, he continued to stay busy by helping others in need and mowing yards and pressuring washing.
He was of the Baptist faith and believed in God. He was blessed in his lifetime with a daughter, a close special friend, Linda, and a buddy, Shawn Cantrell. Don was also close to his brother Scott Moore and after Scott’s passing, Don always recounted great memories with Scott. A good person who was dependable, Don was easy to talk to and always was joking around. He enjoyed listening to Rock Music while he worked on projects around the house. In his free time, he liked to go camping, fishing, and riding his go-carts, which he often built himself.
Don will be missed dearly by all that knew and loved him. The memories made together will be cherished forever.
Left behind to treasure his memories are his daughter, Alissa Moore, TX; step son, Riley Moore, TX; close friends, Lisa Hall and Shawn Cantrell.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Scott Walls Moore, Amory.
A candlelight memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 6, 2020 at his residence.
