Bobby Joe Todd, 75, passed away Sunday November 22, 2020 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, AL. He was a retired truck driver. He also served in the Army National Guard, and he was a member of Union Church of the Nazarene where he served as the song leader and a member of the church board. He was a life long music lover and played in various bands from the age of 16 until his death. He was the founder of Steel Faith bluegrass band where he fulfilled his dream of traveling and playing music.
Services will be at 1:00pm Wednesday November 25, 2020 at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home. Rev. Howard Green will be officiating. Burial will be in the Union Nazarene Cemetery. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors-wife-Oweda K. Todd of Thaxton; two sons-Barry N. Todd (Tamara) of Tremont and Joey L. Todd (Jane) of Memphis; daughter-Tammy M. Brown (Len) of Thaxton; grandchildren-Hillary Mills (Nathan), Austin Todd, Lakyn Thompson (Brady), Victoria Hester (Trevor), Savannah Griffin, Ilana Shackleford, Sierra Lang and Nathan Zavitz; great-grandchildren-Sawyer Mills, Rebecca Mills, Lilly Mills, Addi Hester and Vincent Bernard; brother-Jim Todd (Virginia) of Tupelo; sister-Dorothy Bailey of New Albany.
Preceded in death by-Parents-Thurman and Violet Todd; brother and sister-in-law-Kent and Joy Todd.
Pallbearers-Mitch Robbins, Mitchell Spears, Blake Spears, Laine Robbins, Donny Roye, Mac Owen, Jeremy Wise, Joel Todd and Neal Spears.
Visitation-11:00am until service time Wednesday November 25, 2020
