On Saturday, December 12, 2020, JoAnne Taylor Fly was called home to be with the Lord. She was born December 2, 1947 to the late John and Georgia Mae Taylor. She accepted Christ at an early age at Springhill M. B. Church and later joined Sandhill M. B. Church, where she served as an usher and was a member of the adult choir until her health failed .She attended the Lee/Prentiss school. She worked at Lucky Star for years and then worked at Baldwyn Elementary School for 16 years. During her time there she touched the lives of her coworkers and the kids. All of the kids call her “Big Mama”.

Her memories will be cherished by her husband, Roy Fly, Jr. of 55 years;(4) daughters: Tabatha S. Beene (Randy), Melonie R. Fly, Angela C.Taylor (James), Aja L. Fly, all of Baldwyn, MS; (1) special daughter,

Dessa M. Hill, of Baldwyn, MS (2) sons: Timothy E. Fly, Rodney T. Fly, all of Baldwyn, MS; (15) Grandchildren, (24) Great Grandchildren; (6)

sisters: Bettie Elzie (Nollen), Mary Kate Elzie (Andy), Dorothy Parker, all of Tupelo, MS, Judy Edwards (Carl), Faye Smith (James), all of Belden,MS, Brenda Starks, of Baldwyn, MS; (3) brothers: Johnny Taylor (Renda)of Baldwyn, MS, Michael Macon (Demetris)of the Philippines, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends, her special friends Ada Bell and Glenda Mears.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Mildred Clark, her brothers James Jones and Jimmy Macon, her son Lamar Fly, her grandparents Katie Mae and Velma Williams; Emmitt and Mary Taylor.
