Raymond Herbert Langford, 89, entered into his heavenly home on January 16, 2021, in Vardaman, MS.

Raymond was born on February 26, 1931, in Calhoun County to Austin Herbert Langford and Grace Caldwell Langford.

Raymond served his country as a US Marine and then spent the next 40 years working as a master carpenter and contractor. Raymond was a active member and deacon of Reedy's Chapel Baptist Church.

Raymond married Betty Jean Cannon Langford on April 30, 1955, and the couple had 3 children. He loved his family dearly.

Raymond is survived by his wife Betty Langford, of Vardaman, daughter Betsy (Ray) Tharpe, of Vardaman, son Shane (Debbie) Langford, of Vardaman, brother Calvin (Velala) Langford, of Derma, grandchildren: Cherri (Jason) Crutchfield, Bridget (Waylon) Logan, and Nicole (Bronson) Ganger, 26 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Raymond is preceded in death by his parents Austin and Grace Langford, infant daughter Debbie Jean Langford, grandson Jonathan Raymond "JR" Hallum, brother L. Z. Hawks, and sister Meladine Roberts.

Due to Covid restrictions a private family visitation for Raymond will be held on Monday, January 18, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Vardaman. A private family service will be held on Monday, January 18, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Vardaman with Bro. Bobby Poss and Bro. Chris Duncan officiating. Pallbearers will be: Jason Crutchfield, Remington Crutchfield, Riley Crutchfield, Bronson Ganger, Landon Shed Logan, Layton Ford Logan, Waylon Logan and Joey Ward. Honorary Pallbearers will be: White Baker, James Howard Easley, Robert Lee Easley, William Easley, Don Reedy, and Tom Reedy. Burial will be at Reedy's Chapel Cemetery.
