Amory – Gary Bowen, 53, left his earthly home to start his new life in heaven on April 5, 2021. He was born on Aril 26, 1967, in Amory, MS to the late Jimmy Mack Bowen and Jeanette Brown Bowen.

He liked to talk about God to others and he was a member of Providence Baptist Church in Amory. He cared about people and really was passionate about helping kids, especially St. Jude’s Hospital. His dog, “Lady Bug”, was one of his best friends and he liked to walk her often through the neighborhood. He was a good neighbor and enjoyed visiting with them as he passed through. Some of his other close friends were Danny Yielding, James Dean, and Gordon Hester. They liked to go out to eat with each other, solving all the world’s problems as they partook. At times, he was a comedian, always making other smile.
He was rambunctious at times and high spirited, always looking on the bright side of everything. Almost every day, Booker took a walking trip to Dairy Cream, where he enjoyed their fantastic food and milkshakes. Booker touched so many lives with his simple kind heart and genuine smile.
A precious soul, Booker was a kind man whom was loved by so many. His presence will be missed dearly yet there is comfort knowing he is with his heavenly Father.
