Blanche Rainwater

Tupelo – Blanche Rainwater, 78, met her Savior face to face on Monday, April 19, 2021. Born on March 28, 1943, in Fayette, Alabama, she was a daughter of the late Sarah Elizabeth Roberts and Odis Rainwater.

Blanche grew up in Alabama in a large family with 10 other siblings. For her entire life, she was a homemaker and she cared for her family and her children. She was a loving mother and God blessed her with grandchildren whom she could spoil.

She was a member of the Verona Church of Christ and she loved the Lord. A little outspoken at times, Blanche made many friends at church and in her community. Blanche cared deeply about animals, and had a very giving heart. She helped others in need when she was able.

In her free time, she liked to read books, gardening, growing flowers, and watching birds. Blanche enjoyed listening to Gospel and Country music and just spending time with her family.

Above all, Blanche loved her family dearly. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Flora Cruse, Okeechobee, FL; son, Marvin Earl Cooper (Brenda), Okolona; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Sandlin (James Larry), Linda Jones (Roger Duke), Kathryn Lowder, and Brenda Lindley (Bobby Joe); a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step father, Dallas Lowder; sisters, Barbara Roberts, Ruby Clark, and Gladys Sanchez; 2 brothers, Dewey Lowder, Esker Lowder; grandson, Marvin Earl Cooper, Jr.; half-brother, John Rainwater.
