A graveside service for Peggy Butler Boston, 76, will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday at Henry Cemetery. Terry Smith will officiate the service.
Peggy died on May 13, 2021 at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. She was born on June 27, 1944 to the late Harold and Helen Sweat Butler. She was a 1962 graduate of Corinth High School. She worked as a secretary for the Corinth Middle School for many years before her retirement. She was a dedicated Christian wife and mother who participated in the works of the church and served as the church secretary. She was a life member of the Corinth Junior Auxiliary. Peggy was an animal lover who volunteered for many years at the Corinth Animal Shelter; serving on the board of directors and helping save the lives of the neglected animals of the community. She and her husband shared a passion and love for animals that resulted in the improvement of the blight of unwanted animals in our area.
She is survived by her loving son, Dow Green (Ginger); caring husband, Michael Boston; and her beloved granddaughters, Maggie and Brantley Green. She had many friends, who saw each other frequently, including her lunch bunch and she will be dearly missed by those special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Helen Butler; step-father, Willard Hamm; son, Jay Green; and the father of her children, Johnny Green.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in the honor of Peggy to the Sanctuary Hospice House, 5159 Main St. Tupelo, MS 38801.
