Beatrice Jolly

July 5, 1930 ~ May 20, 2021 (age 90)

OKOLONA – Annie Beatrice “Miss Bea” Davis Jolly, 90, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, May 20, 2021 from Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo.  Miss Bea was a longtime Chickasaw County residence.  She was born in Prentiss County on July 5, 1930 to the late James Robert Davis and Willie Mae Morrison Davis. Beatrice married Clifton Jolly on September 10, 1947.  To this union was born six daughters.  Beatrice worked in many capacities for over 47 years at Futorian Furniture Manufacturing Company in Okolona.  At her retirement, she was a supervisor in Customer Service Repair. She continued her work career with Jerry Rogers until health forced her to fully retire.  Miss Bea was a sweet soul whose love of her large family and her extended family of friends everywhere brought everyone great joy.  She was a longtime member of the New Hope United Methodist Church. She loved cooking, gardening, loving on her many grandchildren, serving her Lord and loving her neighbor as herself. Her wonderful, cheerful personality brought happiness to all.

A service celebrating her life will be held at 2 PM Sunday, May 23, 2021 from the Okolona Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with her grandson, Bro. Jason Clouse officiating.  Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery west of Okolona. Visitation will be from Noon-service time on Sunday only at Holland-Okolona Chapel, which is honored to serve their friends.

Left to carry on her legacy are her six daughters and their families: Charlotte Close (Gary, deceased) of Amory, Edith Norwood (John) of Marks, Sandra Mize (David) of Okolona, Glenda Wince (Clyde) of Okolona, Brenda Norris of Tupelo, and Jennifer Rooker (deceased) and husband, Mike of Okolona; 19 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and 23 great-great-grandchildren. She is joined in heaven by her parents; her husband, Cliff; her daughter, Jennifer Rooker; a sister, Lillian Kennedy, and 2 brothers, Billy Ray Davis and Jack Davis; a great-great-grandson, Brayden Norwood; sister-in-law, Drew Jolly of Shannon and brother-in-law, Jimmy Ray Davis of Okolona.

Pallbearers will be Joey Davis, Edward Jolly, Reggie Jolly, Bobby Norris, Donnie Kennedy, and Phillip Jolly.

The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the staff at Sanctuary Hospice House for the care and comfort so freely given to Ms. Bea and her family.
