Okolona- Debra Kay Spencer, 64, died Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at her residence. A native of Booneville, she was born on September 16, 1956 to Gerald and Mary Wardlaw Carpenter. After spending most of her childhood in Booneville, she relocated to Okolona which has been “home” for the last 40 years. She devoted her life to doting on her children and maintaining a loving home. Once her children were grown, she thoroughly enjoyed getting to spend time with grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and playing cards, especially with family.

She is survived by three daughters, Melissa Stearns (Chad Bishop) of Blue Springs, Sonya Corviss (Michael) of Okolona and Angie Blansett (Randy) of Okolona; son, Jason Spencer (Katie) of Wheeler; five grandchildren, Manning and Colby Davis, Sadie Sprayberry (Colin), Lee Stegall (Alyssa)and Mathew Liverett; two great-grandchildren, Addie Stegall and Waylon; sister, Patricia Dykes; three brothers, Ronnie Carpenter (Janet), Ralph Carpenter and Ricky Carpenter all of Booneville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Gerald Carpenter.

A memorial service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, June 19, 2021 from the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Bro. Judd Vowell officiating. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to be serving their friends.
