A Time to be Born: Holly Berry Wright was born on May 16, 1977, to Ruby Berry and the late Henry Walker in New Albany, MS. Holly was raised to love and serve God. She was loved by many of her family and friends. Holly was a comedian by her own rights. She cared for people and wanted to walk closely with God.
A Time to Love: Holly was the devoted wife of James Wright. To this union, one child was born and returned to heaven.
A Time to Serve: Holly was a member of Faith Tabernacle Full Gospel Church in Pontotoc County. For a period, she served as the congregation motivator on the praise and worship team. Holly loved to sing.
A Time to Learn: Holly graduated from Pontotoc High School in 1995.
A Time to Die: Holly departed this earthly life on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at North Mississippi Medical Center.
A Time to Remember: She leaves to cherish in her memory, her devoted husband of seven years James Wright, her mother Ruby Berry, her sisters: Delinda Berry , Betty Walker, Mable Williams, and Patricia Sorrell; her brothers: Tim Berry, Stevenson Rucker, Thomas Ronnie Walker, and William Walker Smith; Aunts: Carolyn Gray, Emma Robinson, and Linda Bell; Uncle: Larry Berry (Kathy Joe); nine nieces and nephews, eight great nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins.
She was preceded in death by her baby son, Xavier Samaj Wright, her father Henry Walker, her brother Jimmy Edward Berry, her grandparents Ollie and Annie D. Berry; her uncles Charles Gray, Ollie Lee Berry; and her aunts Mavis Berry and Betty High.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 27, 2021, from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Payton Mortuary. There will be no funeral or interment.
