Mr. Donald Coleman Edwards, 81, died Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN. The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 2, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Vanderlip officiating. Burial will be held in Kingdom Cemetery in Lafayette County, MS. The visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the service from 12:00 noon until 2:00 P.M.

Born in Tula, MS to the late Charlie Lavester and Nina Christine Coleman Edwards, Mr. Edwards was a Foreman for Emerson Electric. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed rabbit hunting, quail hunting, and fishing. Donald’s favorite hunting dog was named King. He enjoyed spending time with his state-highway-department friends and playing cards. Mr. Edwards served as the president of the Yocona Community Board. He was a master gardener, even maintaining a vegetable garden this year.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Virginia Livingston Edwards of Oxford, MS; two daughters, Debbie Stepp and her husband, Ronnie, of Oxford, MS and Delisa White and her husband, Jimmie, of Oxford, MS; son Donnie Edwards of Oxford, MS; brother, Lowell Edwards of Paris, MS; three grandchildren, Ben Stepp and his wife, Taryn, of Paris, MS, Will Stepp and his wife, Grace, of Oxford, MS and Cody White of Oxford, MS; and a great granddaughter, Maryn Stepp.
