Mr. Mack Sherman Bowles, 81, died Sunday, July 4, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital North MS.  The funeral service will be Thursday, July 8, 2021, at 10:00 A.M. at Springdale Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Rich Dilling officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 7, 2021, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Waller Funeral Home and again prior to the service beginning at 9:30 A.M. at the church. Burial will follow in Springdale Cemetery.  

Mr. Bowles was born on January 17, 1940, in Lafayette County to the late Elzie and Idell Ferguson Bowles. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, served as a volunteer fireman and was the president of the Denmark Water Association. He retired from a career in maintenance with Shelby Electric following 27 years with HUMKO. Mr. Bowles enjoyed playing with the band, “Country Valley Singers” and his time as an AFA softball umpire. He was a devoted husband of 60 years and a proud and loving grandfather and great-grandfather. Together, he and his wife were longtime members of Springdale Free Will Baptist Church.  

He is survived by his wife, Judith Bowles of Oxford, MS; two daughters, Theresa Graves and her husband, Kenny of Nesbit, MS and Roseann Red and her husband, Jeff of Sarah, MS; a son, Mark Bowles of Byhalia, MS; a brother, Arthur Bowles of Batesville, MS; 7 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
