Mrs. Shirley Lou Phillips Styers, 81, died Saturday, July 3, 2021, at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. The funeral service will be Thursday, July 8, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Mr. Jason Nabors officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 12:30 P.M.  Burial will follow in College Hill Cemetery.  

Mrs. Styers was born on August 27, 1939, in Lafayette County to the late Toy and Addie Lou Phillips. Her life of service to others influenced the lives of all who knew her.  She taught her daughters to love the Lord by exemplifying a strong faith in Christ through her actions, words and her gentle spirit. Formerly a member of the Oxford Church of Christ, Mrs. Styers joined New Lasea Church of Christ following her move to Springhill, TN in 2013. Time spent with her family was cherished and she found great joy in her precious grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Albert Styers.  

She is survived by four daughters, Sherry Styers of Oxford, Tammie Weston and her husband, Scott of South Charleston, WV, Cindy Welford and her husband, Jeff of Tupelo, MS and Nancy Nabors and her husband, Jason of Springhill, TN; a brother, Calvin Phillips of Water Valley, MS and five beloved grandchildren.
