Baby boy Shemir Ja’Kolten Lewis, 2 years old, transitioned on Friday, July 2, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS.

Shemir Ja’kolten Lewis was born to Shanterica Monik Lewis and Corey Logan on January 27, 2019; he entered into rest on July 2, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS.

Shemir was a devoted son, brother, and grandson.  He enjoyed being outside, listening to music, and watching Cocomelon.  He was the happiest when he was showered with love, hugs, and kisses; riding to see water with his Pop Snook, and he also enjoyed listening to his granny sing to him.

To cherish his memories are his parents, brothers, grandparents, and uncles; his parents: Shanterica Lewis and Corey Logan of Coffeeville, MS;  Shemir’s two brothers: Coreyn Haris and Alijah Lewis of Coffeeville, MS; his grandparents: Melvin Woodard of Water Valley, MS, Sandra Lewis (Tyrone Logan),  Beverly Reed all of Coffeeville, MS, and Steve Logan of Horn Lake, MS; his great grandmother: Laura Caldwell of Water Valley, MS; his  great-great grandfather:  Eugene  Williams  of Memphis, TN;  his  two uncles:  Tykeedric  Lewis  of  Coffeeville, MS, Kijonathan Woodard of Water Valley, MS; Shemir leaves a host of great uncles, great aunts, cousins, relatives, and friends.

Shemir’s memories and smile will continue in the hearts of those who loved him the most.

Graveside Service will be held on Friday, July 9, 2021 at 11a.m., at Pine Grove East M.B. Church Cemetery in Water Valley. Serenity-Daniels Funeral Home of Water Valley is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 4-6p.m., at Serenity-Daniels Funeral Home Chapel.
