Celebration of life services for Shauna Lee Kemp Hurd,18, are set for 1 pm Saturday at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Presbyterian Shiloh Cemetery. Bro. Warren Jones will officiate the services. Visitation will be Friday 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home.
Ms. Hurd died July 7, 2021 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was employed at Roll Form in Iuka, MS. She loved her family, her friends and life; and lived it to the fullest.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Susan Hodum and Sonny Kemp; great-grandparents, Lyvonne Hodum, J.B. and Johnnie Gwyn, and Henry and Ruby Hurd.
She is survived by her mother, Tara Kemp; her father, Tairus Jamille Hurd; grandmother, Dorothy Hurd; grandfather, Charles Hurd; great-grandfather, Earl Hodum; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family will serve as pallbearers.

Dear Kemp-Hurd family, I am sorry for you loss and you have my deepest sympathy. The loss of a loved one can bring great pain and sorrow but you can have comfort from Gods word the Bible. Acts 24:15 says, “There is going to be a resurrection” so you can see your dear loved ones again. This is a promise from our loving Heavenly Father. I hope this was a source of comfort for the family.
