Mr. Jerry “KD5JHE” Dean McGregor, 65, died Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at his home in Denmark, MS. The funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home on Monday, August 9, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. with Allen Drewrey officiating. Burial will follow in Bluff Springs Cemetery in Lafayette County, MS. The visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the service from 9:00 A.M. until service time.

Born in Randolph, MS to the late Clell B. and Lila Marie Hellums McGregor, Mr. McGregor was a carpenter. He was an active ham radio operator and a lifelong member of the Mississippi Amateur Radio Club. He found his greatest joy in being around his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Drewrey McGregor of Denmark, MS; two daughters, Rachell Coleman and her husband, Jesse, of Denmark, MS and Christy McMillan of Randolph, MS; two sons, Rusty Boyd and his wife, Julia, of Oxford, MS and Jerry Dean McGregor, Jr. of Oxford, MS; twelve grandchildren; four great grandchildren and his mother-in-law, Shirley Drewrey of Oxford, MS.
