West Point, MS – Mary W. Turner, 84, passed away on August 12, 2021 at Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo. She was born February 10, 1937 in Una to Betty Mae Aycock and James Howard Ward, Sr. She married Donald Earl Turner and he preceded her in death in 1993.
Mary was a very kind and loving wife, mother and friend. She loved being outside and you could usually catch her working in her flower garden. While indoors, Mary enjoyed cooking, quilting and crocheting. She was also a member of the Red Hat Club and took delight in traveling. Mary will truly be missed.
Services will be held at a later date. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Mary is survived by daughter, Rhonda Turner (Shaylene) of West Point. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Donald Earl Turner; two sons, Donald L. Turner and Robert W. Turner; one sister, Sue Jackson and two brothers, James Ward, Jr. and Bud Ward.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Homer Duke, Joey Jackson, Johnny Jackson, Kenny Ward and Glenn Ward.
