Ms. Mildred Nell Bonds Jones, 72, died Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital North MS. The funeral service will be Friday, August 27, 2021, at 10:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Dr. Billy Ray Stonestreet, Rev. Josh Tate, Rev. Gene Bramlett, and Rev. Jim Peterman officiating. Burial will follow in Abbeville Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, August 26, 2021, 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. in West Hall at Waller Funeral Home.

Ms. Jones was born on October 7, 1948, in Oxford, MS to the late Mary and William Bonds and was a long-time legal assistant with Holcomb Dunbar. She was a faithful member of Abbeville United Methodist Church, enjoyed cooking and was a wonderful cook. In addition to her parents, Ms. Jones was preceded in death by a sister, Eileen Sapp.

She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Jones Norwood and her husband, Wayne of Water Valley, MS; her son, Robert Eldridge Jones of Ocela, AR; two sisters, Mary Lou Bonds of Abbeville, MS and Laurie Bonds of Dallas, TX; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
