A service to celebrate the life of Gene Giles, 85, will be held at Memorial Funeral Home Friday at 12:30 pm. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Bro. Jack Whitley will officiate the service. Internment will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday at Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector, AR.

Calvin Eugene "Gene" Giles died Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at his residence. He was born November 22, 1935 in Piggott, AR to the late Stanley and Oleta Giles. He was a member of New Lebanon Freewill Baptist Church. He was a good Christian man who loved the Lord and his family. He married the love of his life, Fannie Giles on June 1, 1957 in Hernando, MS. They moved from Memphis to Southaven and lived there until they moved to Corinth in 1999.

He is survived by his daughter, Renea (Tim) Peters; grandchildren, Michael Whiteaker; great-grandson, Aidan Whiteaker; step-granddaughter, Brittany (Billy) Caradine; step-great-grandchildren, Conner Parker and Colton Peters; and brother-in-law, Norman (Lola) Coleman.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Fannie Giles; grandson, Billy Whiteaker; parents, Stanley and Oleta Chilcutt Giles; father & mother-in-law, George and Dollie Coleman; four sisters-in-law; and six brothers-in-law.
