Services to celebrate the life of Jerry Barnett, 54, will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday at Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

Jerry passed away peacefully in Oxford Baptist Hospital on Wednesday September 8th holding the hand of his loving wife. Jerry was a loving father of 8, grandfather of 16 and husband to the love of his life, Tammy Barnett for 34 years. Jerry was a logger and truck driver for over 28 years and he loved his job. He was happiest when he had a fishing pole in his hand and a dip in his lip. He loved to laugh and tell jokes, especially when all of his children were around. His ability to light up a room will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

He is survived by his daughters, Ashley Rich (Jeff) of Ecru, Lindsey Brinkley (Sam) of Corinth, Megan Barnett (Ben Mathis) of Booneville, Beverly Davis (Seth) of Savannah, Kelsey Barnett and Ashley Morales; sons, Cody Barnett (Clara) Savannah, Jayson Barnett, Jeremy Barnett of Booneville and Ray Barnett; grandchildren, Halley Williams, Jared Williams, Braylee Baker, Jake Davis, Connor Brinkley, Alivia Brinkley, Gracie Brinkley, Jerry Mathis, Meila Mathis, Samuel Davis, Claire Barnett, Lee Todd, Remington Hubanks, Ally Ruth, Jayden Ruth and Autumn Mayberry; brothers, Stevie and Tommy Barnett; sister, Nancy Barnett; and a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Travis and Alvie Barnett; and infant twin brother, Terry Barnett.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Barnett, Jayson Barnett, Cody Barnett, Seth Davis, Ben Mathis and Jeff Rich.
