Tupelo/Hanceville, Ala.-Willodean Naylor Speegle, 88, departed this life for her life in eternity on Friday, Sept. 24, 2021 at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. Born in Lawrence Co. Ala. on August 21, 1933, she was the daughter of the late William “Buster” Naylor and Minnie Lee Morgan Naylor. She married Windal Speegle on February 11, 1971. She spent most of her life in the Hanceville, Alabama before moving to Tupelo in 2015 to live with her son and daughter in law. A factory worker and housewife the last 50 years. A humble woman with a giving heart who was loved by all who knew her. Her family and friends share fond memories of how she could cook and feed anyone who stopped by to visit. Always ready to lend a helping hand, a hard worker, seldom complaining about anything. She was often spunky and comical at times with a quick wit but loved with all she had.
A service celebrating her life will be held at 6 PM Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2021 at the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Sister Margaret Adams-Browning. Visitation will be from 4 PM-service time. For those unable to attend, the service may be viewed at www.hollandfuneraldirectors.com/Livestreaming. A graveside service will take place on Wednesday at 2 pm at the Bulah Cemetery near Moulton, Ala. in the Bankhead National Forest. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to be serving the family.
Mrs. Speegle is survived by her son; Daryl Speegle and wife, Sherry of Tupelo; Grandchildren, Rodney Russell (Kim) , Hope Skipper (Kevin), Tyler Knight, Bryan Bradford, Pam Bradford-Jones, Daniel Bradford (Krystal), Christy Bradford and Kayla Gonzales (Miguel). great grandchildren, Collin, Bailee, Allie, Sheriden, Alissa, Noah, Sydney, Allyson, Karen, Jayden, Anthony, Darius, Elijah and Alaina. Her great great grandchildren, Jeremiah, Trevor and Waylon and all their families. A former daughter in law, Leinette Bradford of Summerville, Ala. several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Windal Speegle; son, Laverl Bradford; a brother, William (Jr.) Naylor; sisters, Mary Dutton, Imogene Naylor and Christine Sherrill and a grandchild, Michael Bradford.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Bradford, Bryan Bradford, Noah Dupree and Kevin Skipper.
