Mr. James A. "Little Bud" Henley, 76, passed away on October 18, 2021 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Mr. James A. "Little Bud" Henley, was born on September 27, 1945, in Aberdeen, the son of the late Charles Haughton, Sr. and Ruby Steel Henley. He was a member of the Mississippi Army National Guard. He worked at Bryan Foods for 10 years in the Processing Department. He enjoyed coon hunting, blacksmithing, and listening to blues music. He was a jokester and was loved by all who knew him. He was a member of Faith Bible Church in Houston and he loved his church family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He married Brenda Guest Henley on December 24, 1965 in Aberdeen.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 21, 2021, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Pleasant Grove Church in Una. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. Johnny Cherry officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife Brenda Henley of Una: two daughters, Margo Barnette and Rachel Henley, both of Una: one granddaughter: Gracie Leigh Barnette of Una, and two brothers, Charles Haughton Henley, Jr. (Pam) of Loxley, Alabama, and Jessie Lee "Big Bud" Henley, Sr. of Brewer.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Gregory, Barry Vanlandingham, Ronnie Vanlandingham David Walker, Barry Smitherman, and Joey Jackson.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Roy Myers, George Knox, Marvin Moore, Billy Barnette, Jr., Pete Dexter, and the Staff of Fresenius Kidney Care.
