Mr. Johnny Leighton Parrish, 72, died Saturday, October 23, 2021 in Robinsonville, MS. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Cambridge Cemetery in Oxford, MS. The visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 12:30 P.M. until service time.

Born in Pontotoc, MS to the late Jerry Herbert and Lois Marie Jolly Parrish, Johnny retired as a dispatcher with Financial Courier Service. He was a Baptist. An avid sports fan, Johnny enjoyed Ole Miss and the Memphis Grizzles. He adored his sons and grandchildren. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Parrish; sisters, Marie and Wilma; and brothers, Bobby, Buddy, Jerry and Herbert.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Laura Parrish of Southaven, MS; four step sons, Timothy Yarbrough and his wife, Megan, of Robinsonville, MS, Jonathan Yarbrough and his wife, Katie, of Roseville, MI, Justin Yarbrough and his wife, Katrina, of Newbern, TN and Christopher Yarbrough of Ripley, TN; two sisters, Linda Poindexter and her husband, Van, of Southaven, MS and Shirley Smith and Bill Wardlaw, of Southaven, MS; brother, Lynn Parrish and his wife, Derilyn, of Hernando, MS; ten grandchildren, Mackenzie Yarbrough, Luca Yarbrough, Memphis Grace Yarbrough, August Yarbrough, Christian Yarbrough, Erica Armstrong, Victoria Armstrong, Darren Armstrong, Bobby Osborne, and Bella Osborne.
