Mrs. Donna Pettit Blair, 66, passed away on October 31, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus. Donna was born on February 13, 1955, in Bruce, the daughter of Pauline and the late Dennis Ray Pettit. Donna worked at Mississippi State University for 29 years where she was the Business Manager for the Department of Communication. Her legacy extends beyond the realm of her family, as she was a mother to many students and faculty at Mississippi State. She will forever be remembered for her loving and nurturing ways. She demonstrated the epitome of a servant’s heart and she will forever be one of God’s greatest gifts to her family. She married Aubrey Blair on October 30, 1980 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas Ray Pettit.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 3, 2021 from 9:00-11:00 A.M. at Hope Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 A.M. with Bro. Avery Jones officiating and assisted by Bro. Chris Craven. A private graveside service will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery in Bruce. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Survivors include her husband, Aubrey Blair of Cedar Bluff: one daughter, Kristen Callahan (David) of Madison: one son, Brandon Blair (Rosanna) of Amory: four grandchildren, Katie Blair York (Branden) of Amory, Allison Blair of Ruston, Louisiana, Drew Blair of Amory, and John David Callahan of Madison: her mother Polly McClain of Columbus: one sister, Denise Pettit Reid (Gene) of Columbus and one brother, Lee Anthony Pettit (Sherry) of West Point.

Pallbearers will be Owen McGuire, Jackson Meadows, John Forde, Wayne Durst, Kevin Williams, and Dow Hailey.
