Janice Smith, 72, of New Site passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2021 at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo. She was a member of the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ. She loved the outdoors especially working in her garden and in her flowers.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, November 12, 2021 at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Ricky Greene officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, November 11, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Koon; her grandson, Blaze Koon; her four brothers, Larry (Angela) Pounds, Randy (Nancy) Pounds, Bobby (Debby) Pounds and Michael (Lisa) Pounds; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Hugh Randle Pounds and Estelle Stanley Pounds; her son, Waylon Smith; her brother, James Randle Pounds and her sister-in-law, Mae Pounds.

Honorary pallbearers will be Shannon Pounds, Bradley Pounds, Blake Pounds, Josh Moreland and Anthony George.
