Mrs. Belle Robertson McPherson, 92, passed away on November 30, 2021 at her residence in West Point. Belle was born on March 1, 1929, in Clay County, the daughter of the late Mack and Nancy Robertson. She was a 1947 graduate of West Point High School where she was the Valedictorian of her class. She attended Clarks Business School in Jackson. She worked for WROB Radio Station as a Copywriter and Bookkeeper. She also worked for the Clay County Extension Service. She enjoyed watching birds and flower gardening. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in West Point. She married Clyde Wesson McPherson on April 15, 1950 in Tupelo and he predeceased her on February 9, 2006.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Ronnie Heranney, three sisters, Pauline Wilson, Lorene Elliff, and Margaret McDougal, and her furry friends, Sunshine, Miss Kitty, and Mr. Big.

Visitation will be on Saturday, December 4, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Calvert Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Michael Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Survivors include her three daughters, Patricia Greer (James) of Ackerman, Susan M. Hines (Wallace) of Columbus, and Marcella McPherson of Ashburn, Virginia: two sons, Gary McPherson (Cathy) of Fairhope, Alabama and Matt McPherson of Jackson, Tennessee: twelve grandchildren; Hollie Greer Gilbert (Carl), Peter Greer, Greg Greer (Heidi), Eric McPherson, (Tracy), Kevin McPherson (Sarah), Rory McPherson (Kathy), Beverly Thomas Wells (Chris), Michael Shawn Thomas (Erin), Victoria Belle DeSantis, Reese McPherson Johnson (Matt), Chasity Martin (Jonathan) and Charity Hauerwas (Joshua), and twenty-five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Greg Greer, Peter Greer, Kevin McPherson, Rory McPherson, Nicholas Wells, and Christopher Wells.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the Staff of North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice and friends at Calvary Baptist Church.
