Bob McAfee

July 30, 1939 – January 24, 2022

Celebration of Life service for Bob McAfee, 82, are set for 11:00 am Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Warren Jones and Charlie Browning officiating with interment at Henry Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2022 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Mr. McAfee died Wednesday, January 24, 2022 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born Sunday, July 30, 1939 in McNairy County, TN to the late Leslie and Mary Lou Gray McAfee. He was a member of Oakland Baptist Church. Bob was a retired lineman from ACE. He served in the US Navy from 1959 to 1964. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, hunting, racing cars in his younger days and working in his yard.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nelda Wooten McAfee; and brother, Tom McAfee.

Survivors include his son, Terry (Theresa) McAfee; daughter, Beth (Noel) Casillas; brother, Alton (Ann) McAfee; sister-in-law, Doris McAfee; grandchildren, Kasie Rood, Travis Cabral, and Terry Kim McAfee; and great-grandchildren, Juno McAfee, Kai McAfee, Nolan Cabral, Mason Rood and Katelyn Rood.

  1. Dear McAfee family, one of the saddest things someone can experience is the death of a loved one. Did you know the Bible compares death to sleep? (Psalms 13:3) Just as a person who is asleep is unaware of what is happening around him, the dead are not conscious of anything. There is a promise of hope in the Bible. Our loving God has promised to awaken the dead, as if from sleep, and give them life again. Acts 24:15 says, “There is going to be a resurrection.” The Bible offers comfort for those who are grieving and I hope this brings you comfort as well.
