Lillie Ward, 93, transitioned on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at her residence, Memphis, TN.

Lillie Ward, the first-born child of the late Dudley and Edna Mitchell, was born on March 8, 1928. Lillie transitioned from her earthly home on February 8, 2022 at 4:07 a.m. to her eternal resting place where she found peace and tranquility. On March 25, 1950, Lillie married the late Andrew Ward, Jr. Lillie had eight children and three bonus children.

Lillie leaves to treasure her memories: Willie (Emma) Mitchell, Memphis, TN; Hattie Downs, Los Angeles, CA; James (Diane) Ward, Coldwater, MS;

Rosie Ward, Memphis, TN; Preston (Kathleen) Ward, Gretna, LA; Wilma Blankenship, Lewis (Michelle) Ward, Linda Hoyle, and Calvin Ward, Memphis, TN; a special granddaughter, Angilean (Michael) Clear, Memphis, TN; brother-in-law, James (Mary) Ward, Abbeville, MS; two sisters-in-law, Mary Ward Shaw, Alton, IL and Mattie Ward, St. Louis, MO; 28 grandchildren, over 65 great grandchildren, over 23 great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. George Ward and Pearlie Harden preceded her in death.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 19, 2022, 11:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m., Service will follow at 2:00 p.m., East St. Peter M.B. Church, 274 CR  215, Abbeville, MS.
