Earnest Quinard Adams
Service with military honors for Earnest Quinard Adams, 88, are set for 12 noon Friday at Memorial Funeral Home with burial at Corinth National Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 11:00 am until the service. Darren Stapleton and Bobby Ayers will officiate the services.
Mr. Adams died on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at Jackson-Madison General Hospital in Jackson, TN. He was born Feb. 2, 1934 to the late Byron and Julie Mary Thornton Adams. He was a member of Antioch Church of Christ. He was a retired veteran with the U.S. Navy having served as a Master Chief E-9. He served for 24 years and was in the Vietnam and Korean Conflict.
Survivors are his wife, Linda Adams; his daughters, Amy Richardson (Barry), Barbara Brooks, Eva Borja (John), Betty Griffin (Gerald), Marie Burns, Meshelle Hoy (Joe), Mary Wagner (Dennis) and Tracy Burch; 23 grandchildren; and a host of great and great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Byron and Julie Maar Thornton Adams; his first wife and mother of his children, Ruth White Adams; daughter, Terri Ann Williams; grandson, Joe Fehlaber; brothers, James Henry Adams, Jep Leon Adams and sister, Flora Mae Smith.
Pallbearers are Alan Emily, Cory Emily, Michael Burns, Bryan Kaup, Dwight Emily and Mike Burns. Honorary pallbearers are D.J. Wagner and Joaquin Mills.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Towers of Tunnels.
