Rev. Lee Roy Willis

Celebration for Life Service for Rev. Lee Roy Willis, 95, are set for 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. James Thornton, Rev. Jon Willis, and Rev. David Willis officiating. Burial will be in The Valley of the Dogwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends Monday, June 13, 2022 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Tuesday 1:00 pm until service time at Memorial.

Rev. Willis died May 24, 2022 at Whitfield Nursing Home in Corinth, MS. He was born December 22, 1926 to the late Roy Lee Willis and Pearl Butler Willis in McNairy County, TN. He pastored/evangelized for 70+ years, with his last pastoring at Little Chapel Pentecostal Church in Selmer, TN. He retired from Caterpillar as a Journeyman Electrician. He was a farmer, factory maintenance man, and an electrician graduate from DeVry Electrician School. He was an all-around handyman, but most of all a preacher of the gospel.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Eddie Levell Stutts Willis; parents; sister, Pauline Adams; and son-in-law, Thomas Wood.

He is survived by son, Robert Walter Willis (Susan) of Isanti, MN; daughters, Dorthy Fay Wood of Jackson, TN, Bernita Kay Benjamin (Rev. Jack) of Pierre, SD and Rebecca Coleman (Doug) of Columbus, MS; 10 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 30 great great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
